Traumatic Brain Injury Education
[Visitor] No looking for more info about traumatic brain injury in regards to education [Operator] Are you looking to pursue a career in neurology or are you doing research? [Visitor] neither. I have two adopted boys that need help to get the appropriate education and someone mentioned having traumatic brain injury as a "label" on their IEPs. I want to know the exact definition of traumatic brain injury in regards to educational laws [Operator] Ok hold on and let me see what information have available for you. What state are you located in? [Visitor] Ohio. TBI from what I have read seems to all be directed at damage to the brain caused by accidents, etc. Nothing specifically saying injury from prenatal problems. They are Fetal acohol children, certainly with brain damage. [Operator] Unfortuneately I have not ran across a lot of information relating to fetal alcohol syndrome with my research for the site. [Operator] The only thing that I have found relating to alcohol and traumatic brain injury is that people with tbi are more predisposed to have problems with alcohol abuse.
