[Visitor] My wife and I have been caregivers for our 37 year old daughter, which was diagnosed with a stroke and brain stem injury in July 1996. She is unable to perform any tasks, including walking and talking. During the past two years she has become extremely fearful and screams both day and night at 5 - 60 minute intervals often 8-10 times daily. She is currently prescribed the medications Zoloft and Alprazolam prescribed by [Doctor], with no observeable change in behavior. We are both senior citizens and we need help to determine what change took place within her to cause the chemical/mental brain change to take place with the resulting uncontrollable screaming and exaggerated strength activity that can allow her to topple over in her wheelchair left unmonitored.

[Visitor] My daughter was a hospital employee, who unfortunately was in a abusive marriage relationship, had obtained a restraining order from her corrections institution employed husband, but invited him back into the home on the night of their 8th anniversary. She was dragged downstairs the following morning and left at the fireplace while the husband proceeded to work without calling anyone to seek help for his wife Her mother discovered her comatose at about 5:00 PM. She had no record of hypertension, heart problem, drug use, headaches, etc. The stroke was caused by an irate husband.
